Description
Seeks to reunify African American families and to revitalize the Black community. Advocates the reclamation of what the group considers traditional African American culture.
Services
Conducts research on issues impacting the Black community such as teenage pregnancy, child-rearing practices, mental health support systems, and the effects of drugs and alcohol. Maintains HAWK Federation (High Achievement, Wisdom, and Knowledge Federation), a training program employed in school systems to aid in character development of young Black males. Sponsors in-service training for agencies, school systems, and the juvenile justice system. Develops training curricula for teen parents. Maintains speakers' bureau.
