Description: African Advocacy Network serves the growing African Diaspora with community-based services focusing in legal assistance, social services and psycho-social case management, as well as promoting cultural integration through the arts. AAN is a project of Dolores Street Community Services.
Services: Legal services (counseling, processing, referrals, and representation) including deportation intervention through referral, processing of naturalization and asylum applications, visa processing, family reunification, and assistance with consular processing. Psycho-social case management and culturally competent counseling in clients'languages.
Translation/Interpretation in various languages including Amharic, Bambara, French, Haitian Creole, Kru, Lingala, Swahili, Tigrinya, Wolof, etc.
Employment and training referrals for job seeking, resume building, and job skills training.
Arts and culture integration to celebrate African arts, trigger the sense of community among African immigrants, and provide a platform for African artists to showcase their talents and further their professions.

Eligible: All SF - Bay Area African and Afro-Caribbean immigrants. We do also serve non-African or non-Afro-Caribbean immigrants.
