- La Peña is a vibrant community cultural center with a national reputation and a global vision that promotes peace, social justice and cultural understanding through the arts, education and social action. As a welcoming gathering place, La Peña provides opportunities for artists to share diverse cultural traditions, to create and perform their work, and to support and interface with diverse social movements.
- Services
- Presents over 200 cultural events a year from around the world. Additionally, we hold classes for blues dancing, salsa, vocals for adults, vocals for children, drumming, Spanish tutoring in groups, and guitar lessons. Our art classes include traditional dance and music from many parts of Latin America. Public programs are available every night of the week. Check our calendar for more information. The Los Cilantros Restaurant is open Tuesday - Sunday 10:00am - 2:30pm and 5:30pm - 9:00pm.
La Peña also rents its space to community organizations that need a venue to hold their events. This typically includes fundraisers, board meetings, birthday parties, etc. -
